Hello testers,
There's been a bunch of new information on tryouts released! New Modified Schedule: Mon 9th Tues 10th Wed 11th Thurs 12th Fri 13th Sat 14th Thermodynamics Ecology Herpetology Material Science Astronomy Hovercraft (at 1788 Flemington Dr, 9:30- 10:30 AM Morning) Mon 16th Tues 17th Wed 18th Thurs 19th Fri 20th Sat 21st Anatomy, Mission Possible Dynamic Planet, Towers Helicopters Mousetrap Vehicle Build Only Makeup Study Only Make Up (at 3888 Old Creek Rd, 6 AM-8 AM Morning) Schedule Changes: Hovercraft has been moved to Saturday the 14th. Friday the 20th is the makeup day for Build makeups ONLY. Saturday the 21st is the day for Study makeups ONLY. It is recommended to avoid study makeups unless absolutely necessary; the Saturday Makeup is at 6AM and we don't want you sleepyheads in our house that early. Build Testing put into steps: 1. Build your stuff together at home. 2. Bring in your stuff before school and stash it somewhere safe (like Mr. Hevel's room 305) 3. Take your stuff out after school and find the proctor at the designated Build Tryout Room. 4. You fill out a standard form on event rules and your tryout device. 5. Turn in standard form. 6. Follow proctor instructions to run your device. 7. Finish and leave with your device. 8. If you are dissatisfied with device, fix and bring it again on Friday for retesting! Notes:
Study Testing put into steps: 1. Study at home. 2. Herpetology testers submit e-binder the day before competition to our email (by uploading it through Google Drive or Google Slides). 3. Bring your cheatsheet/laptop/books before school and stash it somewhere safe (like backpack/locker/Hevel's room) 4. Take your stuff and go to Room 304 after school. Wait for proctor and look for spots you might want to sit in. Starts approximately at 2:15 or 2:30 pm. 5. Follow proctor instructions: testing normally takes 60 minutes. 6. Finish and leave. Notes:
I'd hate for a tester to get confused and miss a tryout day, so read these updates carefully! There are plenty more coming out this week. Good studying/experimenting, Justin Zhang Co-President
